I was diagnosed with Stage IIIC ovarian cancer and underwent several surgeries and chemo treatments. After testing positive for the BRACA I gene I decided to undergo a prophylactic double mastectomy surgery. Mary Lou used her deep tissue massage treatments along with the ‘cupping’ technique to relax my latissimus dorsi so I could recover quicker from the reconstructive surgery. I needed very little pain meds and had full range of motion in no time!! My doctors were dumbfounded as to my speedy recovery…and I didn’t have any issues with lymphadema! I have fibromyalgia & RA and had been recommended to try deep tissue massage. After a few massages at spas around the area I wasn’t impressed.
